The 3-door iteration of the iconic Thar continues to remain in high demand
Updated on 23.02.2026 – The latest video by Kavyansh Dhankar captures the upcoming Mahindra Thar 3-door facelift performing road tests in the mountainous terrains of Himachal Pradesh. The valley is covered in snow and the host in the video clip mentions that the SUV was spotted somewhere in Keylong. We see the exterior styling drawing inspiration from the existing Thar Roxx. As a result, the front section contains a new grille and a rugged bumper, while the side section exposes the new alloy wheels. Finally, the tail end is also similar to the Thar Roxx. All in all, the exterior will be updated and we might even get some new features inside the cabin.

Is Mahindra Thar About To Receive Another Facelift?
Originally published on 24.12.2025 – In this post, we take a look at the details of the Mahindra Thar facelift, which has been spotted testing on multiple occasions in recent times. Thar is unarguably the most successful off-roader in the country. First launched in India back in 2010, it instantly piqued the interest of the off-roading community. Over the years, it has stood the test of time and demonstrated its incredible capabilities off-tarmac. Today, we have the Thar in 3-door as well as, 5-door guises. Let us take a look at what the Thar facelift will incorporate.
Mahindra Thar 3-door Facelift Spied
This post from greatindianmotor on Instagram captures the latest spy media of the Mahindra Thar facelift. The red-coloured SUV is seen parked at an isolated location with partial camouflage. Nevertheless, we can figure out a few things. It will get the grille of the Thar Roxx, along with the LED DRLs and LED headlamps. Apart from that, we might witness a redesigned bumper, along with new fog lamps. This will enhance visibility in dark conditions. On the sides, the overall silhouette will remain the same, and we might even get to see new alloy wheels, borrowed from the Thar Roxx.
There have been many sightings of the Thar facelift in the last few weeks. Hence, we know that the SUV will bear slight alterations at the rear with a new LED taillamp unit. Moving to the inside, we can expect the Thar facelift to continue to offer the latest tech and convenience amenities. This includes things like a large touchscreen infotainment screen, grab handles, a Scorpio N-inspired steering wheel with controls, etc. We might even get the variant with Level 2 ADAS and a digital instrument cluster. I don’t suppose there will be any changes to the powertrain and transmission options.
My View
Mahindra Thar facelift will certainly make the off-roading monster much more attractive. The Indian auto giant will ideally offer some much-needed practical and modern amenities to attract new buyers. Note that the regular Thar remains an enticing option for those who don’t want the large Thar Roxx. The regular Thar is off-road ready and potential customers can get it for a much lesser amount in comparison to the Thar Roxx. Let us keep an eye out for how things shape up going forward.
