In terms of powertrain options, the base Mahindra Thar Roxx MX1 possesses a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol engine, which generates a decent 162 PS and 330 Nm and a 2.2-litre turbo diesel mill, which makes 152 PS and 330 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. Both these engines pair with a 6-speed manual transmission. In higher trims, the engines produce more power and torque, and there is the option of an automatic transmission as well. In terms of pricing, the base petrol costs Rs 12.99 lakh, while the base diesel retails for Rs 13.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
