The Indian auto giant demonstrates its upcoming products on Independence Day each year
Mahindra might showcase at least 4 upcoming cars on August 15, 2025. That is something it has been doing for the last few years. On the Indian Independence Day, it conducts a prominent event to highlight what it has been working on. While these are mostly new vehicles, there can also be some updated SUVs. I must admit there is always a huge buzz around this event in our country. As a matter of fact, Mahindra can also announce a new model for international markets like Australia. For now, let us check out what we can expect.
Mahindra Could Unveil 4 Cars on August 15
Mahindra Thar E
The electric iteration of the Mahindra Thar has been on display for the last couple of events. Note that we have only witnessed it in its early concept stages. Still, the EV bears a boxy silhouette with rugged elements. It lends it an indestructible demeanour. Clearly, it will connect the legacy design theme and capabilities with the modern tech. Furthermore, it remains to be seen what kind of battery options it will carry. In any case, it will aim to take the popularity of the Thar moniker into the electric era.
Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup
Next up, we could even experience the pickup iteration of the Mahindra Scorpio N. Interestingly, the Scorpio N pickup was spotted testing a few months ago. It was heavily camouflaged, but the silhouette was evident. There won’t be many changes until the C-pillars. Thereafter, it will carry a cargo bed. On the inside, it will borrow most elements from the regular Scorpio N. Overall, the pickup will have off-roading prowess along with tons of practicality.
New Mahindra Bolero / Thar Sports
Then we have the new-gen Mahindra Bolero, which might be the same as the Thar Sports for the international markets. Bolero is a legendary moniker for the Indian car marque. It has been through various transformations and the demand is still strong. Going forward, there will be an even more modern version of the legacy SUV. In fact, it could be a unique SUV, which will embody the capabilities of the Thar but bear a monocoque construction. More details will emerge in the coming days.
Mahindra XEV 7e
Finally, Mahindra could also display the XEV 7e on this Independence Day. It belongs to the new breed of electric SUVs from Mahindra under the XEV banner. The XEV 9e is already a hit in our market. The XEV 7e will boast some similarities to the existing XUV700. However, it will be an electric SUV. In terms of styling, we can expect a bold exterior with the latest design philosophy. On the inside, the customers can anticipate a premium cabin with all the latest bells and whistles. Let us keep an eye out for these cars in the coming weeks.
