The compact SUV has been teased extensively by Mahindra but the car has now been spotted in the flesh at a dealership.

The upcoming Mahindra XUV 3XO has started reaching dealerships. The facelift version of the existing XUV300 will have its world premiere on April 29, 2024. Before that, however, Mahindra officially launched multiple teasers highlighting its new-age tech and convenience features. These include a few segment-first amenities which are slated to set the compact SUV apart from its rivals. But this time around, spy media of the SUV parked at the dealership stockyard has surfaced. Let us glance at the details.

Mahindra XUV 3XO Reaches Dealerships

This video comes from Harsh VLOGS on YouTube. The vlogger mentions all the features that will make their way into the new Mahindra XUV 3XO. However, the most interesting aspect of the video is the stockyard of a Mahindra dealership. Here, countless XUV 3XO SUVs are parked. Note that they have a thick camouflage on their bodies to prevent them from getting leaked prior to the official launch. Most of these are high variants because they have alloy wheels and rear wipers. Hence, I expect that the initial deliveries will be of the higher variants.

Specs

Under its hood, I expect the Mahindra XUV 3XO to continue with the existing mills. These include a 1.2-litre turbo petrol direct injection engine producing the best-in-segment 130 hp and 230 Nm, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine delivering 110 hp and 200 Nm and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine generating a decent 115 hp and 300 Nm of peak power and torque. At present, there are options of choosing between either a 6-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. However, with the new version, the vlogger claims that it will get the torque converter instead of the AMT. We shall get to know about the details of that at the launch. Expect a premium over the existing prices – Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 14.76 lakh, ex-showroom.

Author’s Note

The compact SUV space is one of the most crowded segments in our market. In order to grab a considerable market share, carmakers need to ensure that their products offer something truly nique to the customers in comparison to the competition. That is the direction Mahindra is heading towards. With tons of segment-first amenities, the most powerful engines in the segment and high safety, it will try to woo new customers to pick the XUV 3XO over its adversaries.
