The frequent spy videos are slowly revealing key details about the upcoming flagship ICE SUV from Mahindra
The soon-to-be-launched Mahindra XUV700 facelift was spied testing on the road, revealing some key details. We know that the XUV700 is Mahindra’s top model and has been available in India since 2021. Since launch, it has recorded strong sales, with demand remaining steady. The company also ships the XUV700 to countries like Australia and South Africa, where it is becoming popular. Work on the facelift has been ongoing for a while, and test vehicles are often seen outside. The latest appearance shows the updated model is moving closer to launch.
Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Spotted
We are witnessing this video courtesy of kodaivik on Instagram. The visuals capture the SUV plying on a public road wearing heavy camouflage. At the front, there is a new and sleek grille with what looks like either a connected LED light strip or a chrome belt. It connects the LED DRLs on either side of the grille. Furthermore, the LED headlamp units now look much slimmer and sit just below the DRLs. Down below, the bumper looks sporty even though we are able to get a silhouette.
Moving down the sides highlights the familiar appearance, particularly with the third quarter section. Apart from that, the wheel arches are prominent and we will most likely see a new set of alloy wheels. The flush-fitting door handles elevate the premium quotient. Finally, the rear end demonstrates a shark fin antenna, a roof-mounted spoiler, perhaps connected LED taillamps and a new bumper. All in all, the SUV will ensure freshness in terms of styling and new features.
My View
The updated Mahindra XUV700 is getting attention as road tests carry on. First launched in 2021, this SUV was a major move for Mahindra in the premium market. After that, the company introduced more SUVs to expand its range in India. It also entered the electric vehicle market with the XEV and BE brands, which have been praised by customers and reviewers. A fully electric version of the XUV700 has already been announced, but more information about it is still expected.
