The immensely successful sedan boasts a full 5-star Global NCAP safety rating in its latest avatar
I was able to come across a Maruti Dzire which was involved in what looks like a major accident. Dzire is the most successful sedan in the country. Having been launched first back in 2008, it has been able to attract buyers from all corners of the country. What also aided its appeal is the fact that it was available as a private, as well as a commercial vehicle. With its low running costs, high mileage and ease of repair, it swiftly became the go-to choice for families and taxi operators. Currently, we find it in its 4th-generation avatar. Let us take a look at the details of this latest case.
Maruti Dzire Major Accident Surfaces
This post stems from motobobyg on Instagram. The visuals capture the entire aftermath of the horrendous crash. In the beginning of the video, we see the front right section of the compact sedan. It looks like it hit a concrete wall. The right fender and the entire driver’s side seem damaged. In fact, we also see the broken pieces from the concrete wall lying on the road. The front fascia of the car is totally fine. Thereafter, the cameraman moves to the left hand side of the car. There, we witness that the rear section bears a dent.
Now, the exact details of how this happened are not available. In any case, the damage to the front right and rear left sides of the car is evident. Also, we see that all 6 airbags have been deployed. That is a positive sign. It remains unclear how many people were inside the car and what their condition is. By the look of things, it seems like the impact was not able to enter the cabin, which is a testament to the build quality of the car. In any case, the vehicle was able to absorb the collision rather well.
My View
Now, I must mention that we must not jump to conclusions regarding the build quality of any vehicle based on isolated incidents. Sure, the vehicle performed well and it has a full 5-star safety rating too. Regardless, there is no substitute for safe driving. That is something we must always keep in mind and encourage everyone around us for the same. That is the only way to care for our well being. Let us pledge to make our roads safer than they currently are.
