In an unfortunate incident, a massive boulder crushed a Tata Harrier. However, all five passengers were safe.

Monsoons have wrecked Northern India. The continuous rainfall has flooded roads in certain regions and triggered landslides in others. The Himalayan region has become very dangerous in recent years due to heavy construction and unpredictable climate. The number of disasters has risen manyfold this year. Recently, a Tata Harrier was hit by a massive boulder in Dimapur, Nagaland. While it was totally crushed, all 5 passengers were safe. The whole incident was captured on a dashcam. As you can see in the above video, several vehicles had stopped on a highway when small rocks started falling from the side of the mountain. Suddenly, a massive boulder followed and crashed the into Tata Harrier. The huge impact crushed the rear of the SUV. Fortunately, all five passengers managed to escape the vehicle unharmed. Many netizens praised the build quality of Harrier for protecting the passengers. However, they were also lucky that the builder hit the rear side. Two other cars were affected by this landslide. Both the Maruti Suxuki WagnR and Alto were hit by the boulder from the right side and were totally destroyed.

Landslides have become quite common in the Himalayan region, especially during the rains. This is due to a combination of reasons. While some experts cite the young age of the Himalayan mountain range, many environmental researchers have blamed the unsustainable development of roads and other infrastructure. Either way, travellers need to be careful while travelling in the region. While landslides can happen anywhere, the administration has identified landslide-prone regions.
