JSW MG Motor India has officially announced the arrival of its electric roadster, the MG Cyberster. The new model will be sold through its new premium retail channel MG SELECT. Pre-reservations are already live and deliveries are expected to start by mid‑2025. Sales will be conducted via experience centers across 13 major Indian cities.
Electric Roadster Inspired by Vintage Design
The MG Cyberster brings back styling cues from the iconic 1960s MG B Roadster, reimagined for the modern electric age. It features futuristic design elements including electric scissor doors, and an aerodynamic silhouette blending retro elegance and contemporary performance. Underneath, it is powered by a 77 kWh battery pack, paired with dual oil-cooled motors driving all four wheels. The system produces a combined 510 PS of power and 725 Nm of torque. The car can sprint from 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, with a certified CLTC range of 580 km.

Performance, Engineering & Interior Tech
Engineered with inputs from ex-F1 engineer Marco Fainello, the Cyberster employs a double-wishbone suspension setup, 50:50 weight distribution, and high-strength chassis construction aimed at sharp handling and ride refinement. Inside, the cockpit features a wraparound digital display layout: a 10.25‑inch central touchscreen flanked by two 7‑inch panels, offering seamless access to vehicle data and infotainment options. Premium materials like sustainable suede and vegan leather are complemented by a BOSE sound system.
Safety & User Experience
The roadster incorporates multiple active and passive safety features, including a high-strength H‑structure chassis, rollover resistance (SSF of 1.83), dual airbags, ADAS Level‑2 systems, driver monitoring, and electronic stability control. Electric scissor doors include radar sensors and anti-pinch safety. Scissor doors open in about five seconds, operable via console, key fob or door-mounted button.
Availability, Pricing & Booking
The Cyberster will be sold exclusively through MG SELECT centers. During the initial phase, 14 showrooms across 13 cities will handle sales and service. MG already has experience centers in cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Surat. The MG Cyberster is available at a price of INR 74.99 Lakh for fresh bookings and INR 72.49 Lakh for Pre-Reserved bookings.
