The MG Hector is one of the most prominent products in its segment
In a rather disappointing turn of events, an MG Hector owner alleges serious issues with the clutch and RSA (Roadside Assistance). Hector is a famous SUV in its class. People have been getting attracted to the SUV ever since its launch in India back in 2019. MG offers tons of the latest tech and convenience amenities, along with connectivity functionalities and bold styling. On the inside, the immense space enhances practicality. However, at times, some cases appear that capture the other side of ownership. Let us take a look at the details of this case here.
MG Hector Clutch and RSA Issue
As per the information shared on a Facebook post, an MG Hector owner shares the details of his horrific experience with his SUV. He says that his SUV has faced clutch failure 2 times and the odometer reads 54,584 km. He mentions that while driving on a highway, the clutch of the SUV suddenly broke down at around 2:45 PM. As a result, he called RSA, who assured him that help would arrive within 60 minutes. Unfortunately, it took them 9 long hours to get to the customer at around 11:00 PM. The SUV was directly transported to the dealership on July 29.
The owner further alleges that it remained at the workshop for a month until August 29 without a proper resolution. Apart from that, he claims that during this time, he called the MG helpline customer service 7 times. Each time, they assured him that he would receive a callback within 24 hours. However, that never happened, not even once. Finally, the owner informs the readers that he had to pay Rs 28,564 and got the car back a couple of days ago. Overall, he is massively dissatisfied with the service, RSA, build quality and reliability of the vehicle and urges everyone to go for the alternatives.
My View
Now, I must admit that one should never jump to conclusions based on random information online. Hence, I would ask our readers to conduct thorough research before coming to any conclusion in such cases. Nevertheless, it is also necessary for people to share their personal experiences online so that carmakers have a fear of customers and a public image. That will ensure that they always stay transparent with the consumers and fix their issues in a timely manner. Social media can be used in this way for the good of everyone.
