The EV gained immense popularity ever since its launch due to the innovative BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) program
MG Windsor has achieved an impressive feat of securing 27000 sales within a duration of 8 months from the launch. That is quite insane for an EV. Hence, it continues to be the highest-selling EV on the monthly sales charts for a few months now. Among many other factors, I feel the BaaS program has been the game changer for MG. It allows the buyers to rent the battery for a monthly payment depending on usage. Since battery constitutes a huge part of an EV’s overall cost, the initial cost is reduced drastically.
MG Windsor Bags 27000 Sales in 8 Months
As per the official press release, MG Windsor has already crossed the 27000 sales milestone after being in existence for just 8 months. Interestingly, the recently launched Windsor PRO with a bigger battery and a few new amenities over the standard model garnered 8,000 bookings within 24 hours of launch last month. That is a testament to the fact that the customers value the proposition of the new top trim and are willing to pay a premium for that. MG mentions that as many as 48% of its total sales came from non-metro cities, which showcases a country-wide demand for the EV.
