fake police money extortion

The incident exposes the local thugs operating on lonely highways causing massive inconvenience to the drivers to make money illegally.

A local money extortion mafia was caught on a dashcam camera in Bihar. You must’ve seen countless incidents involving local thugs on highways or toll plazas to extract money from unsuspecting car drivers illegally. Lack of policing and imposing local dominance are the reasons for this. This is a prime example of such events where a car from another state was being forced to pay the ‘road tax’ to enter another state. Take a look at the footage to know the details.

Money Extortion Mafia Caught On Camera In Bihar

The video has been recorded on the dashcam of the driver. He is heard mentioning that he has travelled across states and was never asked to pay such ridiculous tax. The car owner came from Karnataka and is headed to Assam. When he asks what this was for, the man says that this is for Bihar transport and he has to pay Rs 600 for 2 months. The car owner then asks for the ID of the person to which he agrees at first. He was also not wearing any uniform to indicate that he is working for the authorities. Getting suspicious, the car owner asks for receipt of the payment and ID proof of the miscreant.

Finally, the guy shows some shady ID proof and the car owner decided to take a photo of the ID to confirm the credentials of this man. However, the guy snapped and took his ID back and asked the car owner to not take the photo. He must be worried about getting caught. Also, the receipt that was handed over to the car owner was not authentic and was only Rs 400. When the car owner told him that he would verify the authenticity of this ID, the guy took back the receipt and asked the driver to move on without charging anything. This confirmed all the suspicions that the driver had.

Thankfully, the entire interaction was recorded on the dashcam that the car owner had installed. Such cases highlight the relevance and need of having a camera onboard. Not only does it capture unique experiences of vlogging, but also such bizarre ones that, unfortunately, keep happening on our roads every single day.
