BMW High Speed Crash Mumbai

Overspeeding remains one of the biggest reasons for thousands of road accidents in India each year

In this post, we take a look at the specifics of a tragic case where a Mumbai man lost his life after he crashed a rented BMW at 180 km/h. At this speed, it is irrelevant which car you are in or what safety rating it offers. There is simply no way to survive such moronic events. This is yet another case of absolutely careless driving, which ended in a life being lost. Let us delve into the specifics of this case here.

Mumbai Man Crashes Rented BMW at 180 km/h

The details of this case arrive from Nikhil Rana on YouTube. The host brings to the surface the visuals of a horrendous case from Mumbai. As per the reports, a certain Punit Singh Mahra, 28, was behind the wheel of a BMW X1, which he had allegedly rented to go to a party. On his way back, he was reportedly driving the luxury car at 180 km/h. That is illegal and an open invitation to tragedy. Sure enough, the luxury SUV hit a dumper on the Atal Setu and was reduced to ashes.

The Police pulled out the body from the wreckage and took it to the hospital, where he was declared dead. Punit was a resident of Chembur. The preliminary inquiries and CCTV footage revealed that high speed was the reason why he lost control of the car. Thankfully, no one else got injured in this case. However, the video shows the condition of the dumper as well. The visuals indicate just how high the speed would’ve been, that the vehicle is beyond recognition, and even the dumper has been severely impacted.

My View

It is high time we start adhering to the traffic regulations and take road safety seriously. We lose lakhs of lives each year in road accidents. That makes Indian roads some of the most dangerous in the world. I must encourage and advise our readers to ensure that you never break the traffic protocols. Moreover, you must persuade everyone around you to do the same. If you find any miscreant flouting the rules, you should report them to the authorities so that appropriate action can be taken against them.
