Mahindra is planning some new and enticing products for its upcoming Independence Day event
The new Mahindra Bolero Neo, aka Thar Sports, has been spotted testing on public roads yet again. In recent times, we have seen it with heavy camouflage on multiple occasions. Note that it is still not clear whether it is the new-generation version of the existing Bolero Neo or a new iteration of the current Thar with a monocoque construction. Remember, Mahindra invited a few Australian automobile media personnel and shared some information about the Thar Sports with them a few days ago. In any case, let us glance at the details here.
New Mahindra Bolero Neo aka Thar Sports Spied
The specifics of this case stem from driftxp_ on Instagram. The visuals capture a boxy SUV with a thorough covering, making a U-turn in the middle of the road. Those familiar with automobiles would instantly recognize the resemblance to the boxy silhouette of the current-gen Bolero Neo. In fact, the first few seconds of the video clip capture the side profile. There are squarish wheel arches, an upright tail end and a spare tyre on the boot lid. Then we see the front section briefly.
It encapsulates round headlamps, a rugged bumper, an upright bonnet and a sturdy grille. In fact, look closely and you will witness the side steps as well. These are designed to enhance the ingress and egress characteristics of the SUV. Also, I was able to locate the bulky side body claddings which merge into the wheel arches. Finally, the alloy wheels are painted in black colour and offer a sporty appearance. All in all, this SUV will certainly combine the legacy SUV design with modern elements.
My View
Now, we know that Mahindra prepares a huge event each year on the Indian Independence Day. During this event, it showcases its futuristic vehicles, concepts, as well as new technologies. There is no reason to believe that this time will be any different. However, what will be interesting to see is whether this is the new Bolero Neo or Thar Sports. We shall get more details tomorrow at the event.
