This is yet another instance of a car meeting its fate even before touching the tarmac
In a rather shocking turn of events, a Mahindra Thar Roxx owner purchased the new SUV and ended up crashing it off the first floor of the showroom. In recent times, we have encountered tons of unfortunate incidents where car owners have somehow damaged their brand-new vehicles. Carelessness is often the main reason for such incidents. Thar is the most successful off-roading machine in our market. It has been the go-to option for a whole bunch of adventure seekers over the years. For now, let us take a look at the details of this latest case.
Mahindra Thar Owner Crashes SUV Inside Showroom
The internet showcased this video, where the new Mahindra Thar is seen upside down on the road outside the Mahindra showroom in East Delhi’s Nirman Vihar. As per various news reports, it is being said that a couple, Pradeep Pawar and Maani Pawar, along with a Mahindra representative, were sitting inside the car. During this time, the couple had purchased the SUV and wanted to perform some traditional rituals. Reportedly, they wanted to put a lemon near the tyre and drive over it, a common practice among Hindu families to ward off negative energies and bring prosperity and good luck.
That is the reason why they started the engine and began moving the SUV. Unfortunately, the driver lost control and the car accelerated vehemently. As a consequence, it broke out from the glass of the showroom and landed on the ground floor (from the first floor) upside down. The visuals capture the Thar lying on its roof. Needless to say, a crowd gathered around. Thankfully, no injuries were reported during this mishap. Also, there was a bike parked there which was damaged a little. The Police said that no complaint has been lodged by the family or the showroom.
My View
Now, I must mention that this is not the first time we have seen an accident involving a brand-new car inside the dealership. It is critical to highlight the need for strict regulations regarding turning the engine on inside the showroom floor. Oftentimes, new car buyers are not well-versed with the sensitivity of the new car’s accelerator. Hence, they end up losing control and meeting with undesirable consequences. Hence, one must be extra careful during such times so that such cases can be avoided.
