The Indian automobile giant launched the XUV 7XO and XUV 3XO EV at the same event yesterday
In this post, we compare the newly launched Mahindra XUV 3XO EV and MG Windsor on the basis of specs, price, features, etc. The electric vehicle market is growing rapidly in India. In the last couple of years, we have seen tons of new models on sale. Tata Motors, Mahindra and MG have been at the forefront of this revolution. It looks like customers are finally coming around to adopting EVs, at least as their second cars. Note that the deliveries of the new XUV 3XO EV will start on February 23, 2026. For now, let us delve deep into this comparison.
Mahindra XUV 3XO EV vs MG Windsor – Specs
The new Mahindra XUV 3XO is on offer in two avatars – AX5 and AX7L. Both these trims bear a 39.4 kWh battery pack, which Mahindra claims is good for a real-world range of around 285 km on a single charge. That is a handy range figure for those who will use their EVs for everyday chores. The electric motor produces a decent 110 kW (150 PS) and 310 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. This enables a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 8.3 seconds. For a compact SUV, these are pretty impressive numbers. Using a 50 kW DC charger, the battery can be recharged from 0 to 80% in just 50 mins.
On the other hand, the MG Windsor is available with two battery pack options – 38 kWh and 52.9 kWh. With the former, the range is 332 km on a single charge, although the real-world number will vary. To keep the comparison fair, we are only considering this battery pack variant. The electric motor generates a usable 136 PS and 200 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. Using a 45 kW DC fast charger, the battery goes from 20% to 80% in just 45 mins. With a 7.4 kW AC home charger, it takes the EV 7 hours to charge from 10% to 100%. We aren’t discussing the details of the Pro variant range with the large battery pack.

My View
The choice between these two worthy rivals could be confusing for some. Still, we shall try to go over the strengths and weaknesses of each of these. The new Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is a well-rounded product based on its ICE counterpart. It comes with all the latest tech, convenience features, modern styling and attractive prices. However, in comparison to the MG Windsor EV, it is a bit more compact and smaller. Contrary to that, the Windsor is a pure EV (not based on an ICE model) with tons of room inside the cabin. Also, the BaaS model eases the burden on the pocket. In any case, I would encourage our readers to feel the cars in the flesh before making up their minds. You can’t go wrong with either of these.
