Nissan Magnite Facelift Interior Teased

Nissan Magnite is among the most affordable compact SUVs in the country and the launch is slated for October 4

The upcoming Nissan Magnite facelift compact SUV finally has a launch date – October 4. The official teaser has been announced by Nissan on social media which captures the interior. The bookings are finally underway as well. You must remember that it was seen in the background in the Tata Punch NCAP video. In fact, the SUV was even teased during the official global plans from Nissan revealed a few days ago. However, it featured as a shadow model in that image. Magnite has been a constant volume churner for the Japanese car marque in India. Apart from that, it recently launched the X-Trail in our market as a CBU. With the updated Magnite, it looks to keep the customers interested.

Nissan Magnite Facelift to Launch on October 4

There have been a few spy spottings of the Nissan Magnite facelift in India in recent times. While the SUV was heavily camouflaged, the silhouette did give away some crucial details. At the rear, the SUV gets a prominent roof-mounted spoiler with a shark fin antenna along with a rugged bumper. On the sides, the new Magnite will wear more elegant and modern alloy wheels and the upright stance is clearly visible. The front fascia will contain a sharp headlamp cluster and a broad grille. More details will emerge at the launch event.

Just like on the outside, even the interior will bear new elements and features. This latest teaser highlights the colossal touchscreen infotainment system in the centre of the dashboard along with contoured seats. The cabin will come with the latest amenities. This could include things like a wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, sunroof, ventilated seats and more. However, what will most likely remain unchanged will be what powers the current Magnite. This means that it will continue to draw power from either a 1.0-litre turbo petrol mill or the same engine without a turbocharger. Buyers will get to choose between manual and automatic transmissions.

Our View

This market segment in our country is massively crowded. People often look for the best value-for-money proposition. That is a critical aspect of this category. In fact, that is exactly what led to the massive success of vehicles like the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger. That is what differentiates these two from the other compact SUVs like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV3XO, etc. Therefore, we can expect this to continue even with the facelift version of the Magnite.
