Tata Nexon Old vs New Specs Price Comparison

As the new Tata Nexon launches, we bring you a comparison with the old model in terms of price and features. Nexon is among the most successful compact SUVs in the Indian market. It was due for a facelift for a long time now. Finally, the new Nexon is here. It boasts tons of exterior styling updates, and interior revamps among other aspects. Old vs New Tata Nexon Price Comparison

The new Tata Nexon is priced between Rs 8.10 lakh and Rs 13 lakh, ex-showroom. Note that these are introductory prices and the price of the top diesel variant is not announced yet. On the other hand, the older model had a retail price of Rs 8 lakh to Rs 14.60 lakh, ex-showroom. Hence, the starting price sees an increase of Rs 10,000 only.

Features

While the new model retains most features of the old model, there are numerous modern elements to make it more appealing to buyers. This includes things like a new massive 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display with the latest connectivity features and iRA 2.0 connected car tech, a 10.25-inch full digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, a 360-degree camera, an air purifier, voice-assisted electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, 6 airbags, ESC, three-point seatbelt, ISOFIX child seat mounts, new-sensitive HVAC controls, leather inserts on the dashboard with carbon-fibre-like finish, new AC vents and more.

Specs

The new Nexon comes with the same powertrain option as before. This includes a 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. The former outputs 120 hp and 170 Nm while the diesel mill generates 115 hp and 260 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. Both engines have a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT option. However, the petrol trim now even gets a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic gearbox to access a wider audience. There will be paddle shifters for manual controls. The variants include – Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless with sub-variants for optional features and sunroof.
