The upcoming Jetour T2 SUV is all over the internet ahead of the launch in India
In this post, we take a look at what a Pakistani media house has to say about the India-bound Jetour T2 SUV after a thorough walkaround review. It has recently been spotted undergoing road tests in India. For those unfamiliar, Jetour is a Chinese automobile brand that operates under Chery. However, in the Indian market, the Jetour T2 will be launched under the JSW Motors banner. This move comes as part of the collaboration between the JSW Group and several Chinese automakers, including MG and Chery. Over the past few days, a number of interesting videos of the Jetour T2 have surfaced online. Additionally, the model has been making headlines after securing a 5-star safety rating at ASEAN NCAP. For now, let us take a look at the details of this case.
Pak Media Details India-Bound Jetour T2 SUV
This post stems from PakWheels.com on YouTube. The host has a large SUV with him in a quiet location. The overall design of the SUV seems to have been inspired by the iconic Land Rover Defender. It contains a massive grille at the front with Jetour lettering, square LED headlamps with LED DRLs, a rugged skid plate, a sporty bumper and an upright stance. On the sides, we witness the gunmetal grey alloy wheels, pronounced wheel arches with rugged claddings, functional roof rails, side steps for easier ingress and egress, a boxy silhouette and a unique Defender-like quarter glass. Finally, the tail section contains a high-mount stop lamp, bootlid-mounted spare tyre, vertically-oriented LED taillamps and a tough bumper.
On the inside, the Jetour T2 comes loaded with top tech and convenience amenities. Some of the main highlights include panoramic sunroof, a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment display, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, a 10.25-inch driver’s instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, a 12-speaker Sony audio system, multi-purpose steering wheel, Level 2 ADAS, hill start assist, hill descent control, premium materials on dashboard and door panels, rotary drive mode selector, multiple grab handles, spacious second row, rear USB-C ports and much more.
Specs and Expected Price
In the international markets, the Jetour T2 comes with PHEV and EV powertrains. However, the India-bound model could come with the 1.5-litre turbo petrol mill with a 26.7 kWh battery pack (PHEV) for a combined output of around 154 hp and 220 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. The launch will take place around Diwali 2026 and the price will be in the vicinity of Rs 15 lakh and Rs 30 lakh. More details will emerge in the coming weeks.

In my view, the Jetour T2 could become one of the most interesting new entrants in the Indian SUV space if JSW manages to price it aggressively. The butch, Defender-inspired styling and a feature-packed cabin are likely to resonate strongly with Indian buyers who increasingly prefer bold-looking SUVs. However, success in our market will depend heavily on localisation, after-sales support and how well JSW builds consumer confidence around a new brand. If executed well, the Jetour T2 could emerge as a compelling alternative to established players in the mid-size SUV segment.
