The Vietnamese carmaker is starting its India operations with electric SUVs
The pre-bookings for the VinFast VF 7 and VF 6 are finally underway. We already know that the hiring of local professionals is in process. VinFast wants to capitalize on the rapidly burgeoning EV segment in India. In the last couple of years, EV sales have skyrocketed. This is true for various market segments, including entry-level electric cars, as well as high-end premium EVs. Clearly, the future of mobility is electric. Pre-Bookings For VinFast VF 7 and VF 6 Electric SUVs Start
Customers can reserve their car either online on the official website or by visiting a showroom. The booking amount is Rs 21,000 and is fully refundable. The VF 7 and VF 6 are built for Indian roads, offering strong battery range and features suited for daily driving, intercity travel, or weekend trips. Both models come with advanced driver assistance systems (Level 2 ADAS), large touchscreens, and connected car features. The VF 7 has a more premium design with a panoramic glass roof and wireless charging. The VF 6 is family-focused and practical, with a stylish look and smart features.
VinFast plans to assemble these vehicles at a new factory in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. This highlights the company’s focus on India as a long-term market. The company is also setting up 32 dealerships across 27 cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, and more. To support owners, VinFast is working with partners like RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure for charging and service. VinFast has also partnered with BatX Energies to recycle batteries, aiming to create a sustainable, circular battery ecosystem in India.
