RE Guerrilla 450 Leaked

The much-awaited RE Guerrilla 450 has been leaked online. It will be the next product from the iconic two-wheeler manufacturer in India. The launch is slated for July 17. It will bear a lot of similarities with the Himalayan 450 including the powertrain. In fact, we will even see some adventurous traits of the Himalayan flowing into the Guerrilla. Still, there will be enough elements to distinguish the two. These will be aesthetic changes and the overall stance of the motorcycle. For now, let us take a look at the details of what’s surfaced.

RE Guerrilla 450 Leaked

The details of this case emerge from Bullet Guru on YouTube. As per the information in the video, the visuals of the motorcycle testing emerge from somewhere in Spain. Interestingly, it is not wearing any camouflage. Hence, the entire body is evident. There are two units visible in the video. One bears a dual-tone paint scheme, while the other has a regular single-colour layout. In addition to that, we are also able to see monoshock absorber suspension at the rear. Even the tyres are much broader in comparison to the Himalayan. That informs about its capabilities to offer great riding dynamics on highways.

However, the most prominent component shown in this video is the instrument cluster. In fact, there are two models spotted in this video. These are different trims. Hence, on the top trim with dual-tone paint, we see a large TFT screen, just like on the Himalayan. That will relay a lot of information to the rider. Even the switches are borrowed from the Himalayan. The lower variant in single-tone colour is offered with turn-by-turn navigation and the same instrument cluster as the Meteor twins. All in all, the motorbikes will offer something unique to the customers.

Specs

Even though the official announcement is not out yet, it is almost certain that the RE Guerrilla 450 will share its powertrain with the Himalayan. The latter gets a 452-cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC 4V engine which produces a decent 40.02 PS of power @ 8,000 RPM and 40 Nm of torque @ 5,500 RPM. Complimenting this mill is a 6-speed slip & assist gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch. It uses a twin-spar tubular steel frame with a 43 mm USD front fork with 200 mm of travel and a linkage-type mono-shock at the rear with 200 mm of travel. More details will be available at the launch.
