There are tons of instances where people often do such activities either for fun or to create viral content. These days, it is hard to make a distinction between the two. This video comes from pushpak_4141 on Instagram. The visuals capture a rather cringe-worthy sight. Two school girls are seen standing out of the sunroof of the luxury sedan. The car in question is the EWB (Extended Wheelbase) version of the Rolls Royce Ghost. Judging by the numberplate of the car, this incident seems to have emerged from Maharashtra. We are not sure what they are trying to establish by hanging out of the sunroof amidst city traffic. There could be perilous consequences if the driver had to suddenly apply brakes. It is quite common in city driving. We can’t support such actions due to the safety reasons.

There are multiple issues with this. Firstly, the Motor Vehicle laws don’t permit the passengers to hang out of the sunroof of a moving car. This practice poses visibility challenges for other drivers, increasing the risk of accidents. Moreover, if the driver has to make a sudden stop, someone leaning out of the sunroof could suffer severe injuries. Numerous incidents of such scenarios have been reported. Lastly, there’s also the potential for the individual to lose their grip on the sunroof, causing it to strike a pedestrian.

What We Think

Every day, we witness a variety of accidents occurring on our roads. The majority of these incidents are a result of drivers’ negligence or individuals disregarding traffic rules. Laws are established to ensure the well-being and safety of everyone, and it’s crucial that we acknowledge and adhere to them. Therefore, we strongly encourage our readers to abstain from engaging in such reckless behaviours under any circumstances. Furthermore, please take the initiative to report these wrongdoers who engage in dangerous and foolish acts to the authorities, so that appropriate action can be taken against them.
