The Skoda Auto Volkswagen India group will now be responsible for Bentley cars in our country. This includes aspects starting with imports, to sales and service. We know that Bentley makes some of the most luxurious automobiles on the planet. That is why you will find it in the garages of some of the absolute elite celebrities in India. Since it falls under the umbrella of the Volkswagen Group globally, it will adopt the same strategy for the Indian market as well. Let us delve into the details of this case.
Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Adds Bentley To Its Portfolio
Starting July 1, 2025, Bentley will officially be part of Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL). This makes Bentley the sixth brand under the Group’s portfolio in India. SAVWIPL will now handle the import, sales, and service of Bentley cars in the country. To manage this, a new company called Bentley India has been created under SAVWIPL. It will look after all aspects of the brand, including marketing and after-sales support. Abbey Thomas has been named Brand Director of Bentley India and will lead the team here.
Bentley India plans to open three dealerships. The first ones will be in Bengaluru and Mumbai, followed by a third in New Delhi. These showrooms will cater to the needs of high-end buyers and offer the luxury and performance Bentley is known for. Bentley has had a presence in India for over 20 years. By joining SAVWIPL, the brand aims to improve its reach and service standards. This move also shows the Group’s growing focus on India’s luxury car market, which continues to expand.
Speaking on this occasion, Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO of Skoda Auto Volkswagen India, said, “Welcoming Bentley into the SAVWIPL family is a proud milestone that completes our portfolio — from the precision of German engineering to the timeless elegance and unmatched performance of British craftsmanship. India’s appetite for uncompromising luxury is growing rapidly. Additionally, Abbey’s deep understanding of the Indian market makes him the ideal leader to steer Bentley India toward new milestones.”
Similarly, Jan Bures, Executive Director, Sales, Marketing and Digital of Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, said, “It’s a proud moment for us in India to welcome Bentley into the SAVWIPL family. The ever-growing UHNI segment in India will benefit from this new association, and we, along with our new dealer partners, will ensure the best of luxury and performance for our customers.”
