For all the sunroof lovers, Tata Motors is offering it in the XMS variant of the Altroz. Altroz is a popular and the only 5-star rated premium hatchback in the country. People choose to buy this car because it’s safe, has different engine choices, modern technology, and stylish looks. These factors make it a strong rival to the well-known Hyundai i20. The segment leader continues to be the Maruti Baleno. To woo more customers, the Indian auto giant is leveraging the love people have for sunroofs. Here are the details of this trim.

Tata Altroz XMS – Sunroof Variant

This video comes from HER GARAGE on YouTube. The popular YouTuber makes content around automobiles. On this occasion, she is offering a complete walkaround tour of the exterior and interior of the Altroz XMS. Note that it is based on the XM variant with S signifying the Sunroof version. It gets a halogen headlamp setup, chrome belt underneath the front glossy black grille, black ORVMs, 16-inch wheels, an electric sunroof, shark fin antenna, split taillamp configuration, black panel connecting the taillamps and more.

Interior and Features

On the inside, this trim comes with steering-mounted multimedia controls with tilt function, analogue instrument cluster with MID, all four power windows, speakers and tweeters on the door panels, bottle and umbrella holders, electronically foldable ORVMs, manual AC, large glovebox, silver accent on the dashboard, fabric upholstery, optional 9-inch infotainment display, USB connectivity, drive modes (Eco and Drive), LED reading lighting, day/night manual IRVM, useable boot compartment, 14-inch spare tyres and more.

Specs & Price

The Altroz offers a variety of engine and gearbox options. There is a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 88 PS and 113 Nm, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol with 110 PS and 140 Nm, and a 1.5-litre diesel with 90 PS and 200 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. Both powertrains come with a 5-speed manual gearbox, and the petrol versions also offer a 6-speed DCT. The Altroz’s prices range from Rs 6.60 lakh to Rs 10.74 lakh, ex-showroom. The XM model costs Rs 6.90 lakh and the XMS model with sunroof costs Rs 7.35 lakh, ex-showroom. This gives the owners flexibility to choose as per their requirements.
