The Indian automobile giant has launched the much-awaited Harrier EV in the Indian market
In this post, we take a look at the comparison between the newly-launched Tata Harrier EV and Curvv EV. The electric iteration of the Harrier has been due for launch for a long time now. It was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 earlier this year. Finally, Tata Motors has launched it for our market. On the other hand, the Curvv EV has already been on sale in India for a while now. It embodies that distinct coupe SUV silhouette. For now, let us delve into the details of these two EVs.
Tata Harrier EV vs Curvv EV – Specs
The new Tata Harrier EV boasts a dual-motor configuration, which results in a considerable 158 PS at the front and 238 PS at the rear. The combined torque output is 504 Nm. There are two battery pack options to choose from – 65 kWh and 75 kWh. These enable a range of 627 km and 505 km on a single charge, respectively. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h comes up in a mere 6.3 seconds, which is pretty quick for a vehicle of this size. It offers multiple drive modes – Eco, City, Sport and Boost, along with numerous terrain modes like Normal, Snow/Grass, Mud Ruts, Sand, Rock Crawl and Custom. Also, there are 4 Levels of regenerative braking to choose from. With a 120 kW DC fast charger, the battery goes from 20% to 80% in 25 minutes.
On the other hand, the Tata Curvv EV is also on sale with two battery packs – 45 kWh and 55 kWh. With these, the power figures are 502 km and 585 km on a single charge, respectively. The power and torque range from 148 hp / 215 Nm to 165 hp / 215 Nm, respectively. To charge the EV from 10% to 80% with a 70 kW DC fast charger, it takes around 40 minutes. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 8.6 seconds.

This is the exciting bit. The new Tata Harrier EV starts at Rs 21.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The prices of the higher trims have not been announced yet. On the other hand, the Tata Curvv EV ranges from Rs 17.49 lakh to Rs 22.24 lakh, ex-showroom. It is interesting to see that the top variant of the Curvv EV is slightly more expensive than the base Harrier EV.

Choosing between these two can be quite tricky. However, I must mention that it all really depends on your budget and requirements. If you want a bigger car with more practicality and have a flexible budget, going for the Tata Harrier EV makes a lot of sense. On the other hand, if you just want to own an EV with all the latest tech and convenience amenities and still want to be conscious about your expenses, the Curvv EV emerges as a great option.
