Thieves Steal Alloy Wheels of Maruti Grand Vitara

In this latest video, a case emerges where thieves steal the alloys of a Maruti Grand Vitara mid-size SUV. The issue of stealing is prevalent in many major cities of our country. It is an unfortunate reality for not just India but many other countries across the globe. The miscreants have become tech-savvy and keep coming up with innovative techniques to steal cars despite added safety layers. However, stealing tyres is an old practice. Let us take a look at the details of this latest case and how you could prevent it.

This video comes from HarshVLOGS on YouTube. It showcases the mid-size SUV on the side of the road. Presumably, the owner had parked it there. However, the thieves came and took away all four tyres. To perform this illegal act, they placed bricks underneath the vehicle. Finally, the car is seen without the tyres. This is, unfortunately, a rather common sight in many cities of our country. We know that alloy wheels are expensive. Therefore, these mischievous elements are able to generate a lot of money by selling these in the aftermarket.

How to Prevent It?

As technology develops, many new players keep developing creative ways to protect against such incidents. For instance, this video mentions special types of nuts. These nuts enable the tyres of the car to be locked. You could purchase a set of 5 nuts to lock each wheel in place. Each set comes with a unique pattern to unlock which only you can have. Therefore, even if the thieves unscrew the nuts of the tyres, they won’t be able to unlock this lock. Hence, your car can be safe.

What We Think

Now, we understand that it is not possible to park every car in the security of a covered or personal parking. There are just so many cars in the country and not enough parking space. As a result, there is no other option than to park outside. They are prone to such activities out in the open. This is particularly true for the nighttime. Hence, adopting preventive methods is the only way to safeguard your car. We would recommend such solutions highly. Apart from that, even if you come up with your personal solution, it would be fine.
