Tiger Woods’s Car Crash

This crash caused his vehicle to hit a center meridian and a tree before rolling into a ditch. As per the details of the investigation, the speed at the time of the first impact was around 87 mph, and before the final collision, it was around 75 mph. This was a classic case of overspeeding. LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said, “The primary causal factor for this traffic collision was driving at a speed unsafe for the road conditions and the inability to negotiate a curve of the roadway.”

In fact, there were no signs of braking before the collision. Also, Tiger had pressed the accelerator to 99% immediately before the impact. As per the information from the crash recreation experts, this is a classic sign of the driver falling asleep behind the wheel. This could easily have been avoided had Tiger applied brakes or steered the vehicle. The police investigation also found no evidence of the star golfer driving under the influence of drugs or any intoxicants. However, golfer Pat Perez’s spouse alleged that Tiger was under the influence of some drugs.

Road to Recovery

Tiger suffered terrible leg injuries, and an iron rod had to be inserted into them to keep them stable after many surgeries. In fact, the recovery took months, and he was starting to think that he might never recover or have to lose his leg. After persevering for almost a year, he was miraculously back on the golf course, receiving a standing ovation from the spectators at the 2022 Masters Tournament. He says he is still in pain and was spotted limping on the golf course, but he appreciates that his leg is functional. He will now compete in the 2023 Masters Tournament, a source of inspiration for everyone.
