Mahindra XUV300 is a prominent product in the compact SUV segment of our country for a long time now.

This Mahindra XUV300 has been inspired by the XUV700. The latter has enjoyed massive success in the market for a while now. In fact, it has impressed a lot of car reviewers in multiple international markets including Australia and South Africa recently. The XUV300 is the younger sibling of the XUV700 and the facelift model could even borrow some elements to make it look more appealing. The competition in the compact SUV segment has increased tremendously which is why the Indian SUV giant is making sure that the XUV300 stays up-to-date. Here are the things that we can expect from the upcoming updated version.

Exterior Styling

One would be able to instantly recognise the facelift model from the exterior as the new XUV300 would feature the elements from the larger XUV700. This includes a miniature version of the vertically slated chrome front grille, as well as C-shaped LED DRLs which are the trademark of the larger SUV. There is a sporty bumper and a rugged skid plate to accentuate the road presence. At the rear, the LED tail lamps are connected via a chrome slab.

Interior & Features

The XUV300 has always been a product with a plethora of segment-first features. Mahindra will try to up the ante with even more features in the facelift model. Some of these could include things like a flat bottom steering wheel, premium leatherette upholstery, a new dashboard layout, digital instrument cluster, a larger infotainment display, connected car tech, wireless smartphone charging, drive modes and more.

The transmission duties will be carried by either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT automatic gearbox. The new model could also feature the DCT automatic gearbox.

Safety

The XUV300 is already a 5-star rated compact SUV at the Global NCAP testing. That is why we have all the reasons to believe that the facelift model will continue to carry that legacy forward with features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, all four disc brakes, Hill Hold Assist, Hill Start Assist, height adjustable seat belt, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and more.
