The recently showcased Ford Ecosport compact SUV is actually creating a lot of buzz in the Industry and ever since it was displayed at the 2012 Auto Expo, the attention does not seem to be stopping. No doubt there is enough charm in the car to be liked by consumers here and considering the same Ford is now planning to do something that was expected, but not that soon.
This US based firm is now planning to invest an appreciable Rs. 750 Crore in its Chennai plant in order to produce Ecosport compact SUV. Mr. Michael Boneham, President and Managing Director of Ford India announced this investment strategy of the company during an official meet with J. Jayalalithaa, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Now after the investment the company will not only make itself ready to produce the car but at the same time will create additional employment opportunities for nearly 400 individuals of the state. So far so good and we cannot wait more to see the car being rolled out of the facility and eventually hit the roads. Stay tuned for more updates on the same.
