Renault, the French Auto major is looking for an alliance in India to launch its electric cars in India. Search for the appropriate ally is still under consideration and Reva is a strong contender for the same. Reva is an experienced electric car company with required infrastructure and proved its capability worldwide.
The ally for Renault will provide for the infrastructure, charging stations and battery servicing facilities. As there are lots of reforms going on from Govt. of India to support and encourage Electric cars. The decision of Renault to enter Indian markets with its EVs will largely depends on the Government’s policies and support.
Renault has an impressive lineup of existing Electric Vehicles, EVs selling in many countries, these EVs include – Kangoo is a goods moving vehicle, Zoe is a mid-sized sedan and Twizy is a two-seater concept car which was displayed at the Auto Expo 2010 at Delhi, India in January 2010.
