Do you remember the Swift Sport? I am sure many of you can recollect the Sport edition which, as its name says, featured all the cosmetic changes that define sportiness. Unfortunately the car did not arrive in India for Swift fans. Now the latest buzz around the 2013 Suzuki Swift Sport is that Suzuki Motors has announced that their new updated Swift Sport Concept will be making its official entry at the Australian International motor show. The exhibition is scheduled to start on 19th of October 2012.

The new five door version of the Swift Sport has been updated with much better cosmetic additions and the styling elements enhance the carโ€™s appeal to extreme levels.

The car was first unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon earlier this year and the new version is surely going be an attractive product at the upcoming exhibition. Talking about the styling of the car now, the front features a sharp chin spoiler, fancy fog lamps, HID bulbs inside smoked headlamp housing. The air dam situated at the bottom of the front fender and the grille seamlessly join each other, thanks to the black finished strip.

On the sides the car now gets a set of restyled skirts. Even the alloy wheels have been upgraded and definitely it is one of the prettiest set of wheels we have ever seen. The rear features a sporty fender with chrome tipped dual exhausts. Another important addition to the rear of the car, is the spoiler which would enhance the performance of the car.

Although the exterior gets a serious upgrade, the interior still looks pretty much the same. But there are a couple of changes which one cannot overlook. The spokes of the steering wheel have been tweaked slightly which look good, and the car comes with racing bucket seats. Under the hood we expect the Swift to equip the same powertrain that was on its previous version. So expectedly it would be the familiar 1.6 litre petrol unit that puts out 136 BHP of power.

Once again we are not hoping the Swift Sport to hit the Indian shores, sadly because of the fact that Maruti Suzuki is already struggling with its lagging production and launching another variant would only add to the problem.
