From the looks of it, the 2016 model Fordย EcoSport facelift would get a comprehensively updated exterior body. Compared to the recent facelift, which featured just a revised tailgate styling and omission of the tailgate, the 2016 model Ford EcoSport facelift would get major styling tweaks in the form of revised front- and rear-end styling. Quite obviously, the upcoming facelift for the Ford EcoSport will be headed to India soon after its international debut and in all chances, the upcoming 2016 EcoSport will further boost the sales of this popular compact-SUV. As the above image suggests, the 2016 EcoSport could get an all-new front-end styling that will be inspired from the new Ford Edge. Our belief is that the Edge’s nose on the EcoSport imparts a sporty touch to the car’s front-end. Also, it makes the car look sleeker than the current model. At the rear-end, the most noticeable change would be the absence of the spare wheel. The tailgate will see some new surface treatment and should gel with the sportier front-end styling. Mechanically, the car would remain largely unchanged, but safely expect Ford to tweak the suspension in favor of better stability. The electronic power steering could also see some adjustment. Internationally, the engines have been upgraded to comply with the latestย emission norms and this has seen a bump ofย 5 PS in the diesel mill’s power.
