The 2018 Suzuki Gixxer SP and Gixxer SF SP have been launched with minor cosmetic updates. Both the bikes receive a new colour combination, new unique Emblem and new graphics on the front cowl and the fuel tank. The 2018 Gixxer SP is priced at Rs 87,250 and the 2018 Gixxer SF SP is priced at Rs 1,00,630 (ex-showroom).
Suzuki Gixxer is one of the most popular 150cc bikes. It is a fully-faired naked bike with heavy detailed graphics. While its other twin, Gixxer SF is a 150cc sports bike. The SF is not as popular as the Gixxer. Meanwhile, the 2018 Suzuki Gixxer SP and Gixxer SF SP have been launched. The ‘SP’ stands for ‘Special’. It gets some minor cosmetic updates without any changes in the features and engine specs. The difference between the standard variant and ‘SP’ variant is just that the latter receives different colour schemes and graphics. The Gixxer SP gets ABS as one of its main features, while the SF SP gets ABS with Fuel Injection system. Rest of the features and engine specs remain the same. Currently, SP comes in orange and black in colour. Both the bikes sport a 155cc Air-cooled engine that produces 14 BHP of power and 14 Nm of torque. While Gixxer gets the Carburettor system, Gixxer SF gets an optional Fuel Injection system. Both are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Features of the Suzuki bikes include a digital speedometer cluster with indicators of gear switch and RPM, sporty twin exhaust, 7-step adjustable rear mono shock suspension, front and rear disc brakes and clear lens LED tail lamp. Gixxer is one of the few bikes in the 150-160cc bike segment that gets an ABS variant. The other bike that gets ABS is the CB Hornet. Moreover, the naked bike looks very stylish and is one of the most sought 150cc bikes. On the other hand, the SF is a sports bike but is not as popular as the other one. The other bike also receives same features but with a Fuel Injection system option.

Currently, it competes with TVS Apache RTR 1604V, Honda CB Hornet 160R and Yamaha FZ-S. This particular segment is quite competitive, but Gixxer maintains its own powerful stand. It lacks some features, but it gets the crucial safety measure.
