2019 Tata Safari Launch Price
The upcomingย 2019 Tata Safari is expected to be showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. For its global debut, we expect Tata to bling it up a little and present it in a concept guise. The near production ready Q501 SUV will take the centre stage at the upcoming expo next month. We expect Tata to price the upcoming SUV competitively with the range starting as low as INR 13 lakh and topping at around INR 16 lakh.
2019 Tata Safari Exterior Design
Codenamed Q501, the upcomingย 2019 Tata Safari will share its underpinnings with the Land Rover Discovery Sport. The donor vehicle will provide more than just the platform with several body panels being carried over to the upcoming Safari. Safari, so far, has been marketed as the full-size SUV but the Discovery Sport underpinning suggest that the new Safari will be more of a versatile crossover.
2019 Tata Safari Interior
Details pertaining to the interior of the upcomingย 2019 Tata Safari are rare as of now. We know that Tata is planning to launch a 5 seater version and a 7 seater version. The upcoming SUV will be the flagship model from the manufacturer suggesting the use of premium materials like leather upholstery and soft-touch plastic on the dashboard. Also, expect a brand new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that will make its way into the Hexa when its facelift arrives.
2019 Tata Safari Specifications
The all-newย 2019 Tata Safari will be manufactured at the Fiat plant in Ranjangaon, Pune. The plant is a 50-50 joint venture between the two companies. To keep the prices in check, Tata will shy away form using the new Ingenium family of engines. Even though the new Safari is based on the Land Rover Discovery Sport platform, using their in-house Ingenium engines would increase the cost substantially, therefore, Tata plans on using the Fiat’s Multijet II 2.0-litre diesel engine in multiple states of tune. The 5 seater version of the upcoming Safari will get 140 bhp and the 7 seater version will feature 170 bhp version of the engine.
