Let’s start with what’s under the hood first. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift is now powered by a sole 1.2-litre, four-cylinder K12C DualJet petrol engine. The engine now produces 90bhp, which is 7bhp more than the pre-facelift version. This same engine is also offered on the Baleno hatchback. However, unlike the Baleno, the DualJet engine in the Dzire facelift is not offered with Maruti’s SHVS mild-hybrid system to keep prices in check.ย

The Dzire facelift however does come with idle start-stop tech, which will help maximise economy.ย The engine comes mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or an automated manual transmission (AMT). The AGS gearbox is being offered with K12C engine for the first time. Fuel efficiency for the Dzire facelift is rated at 23.26kpl for the manual version and 24.12kpl for the AMT version.
