Hyundai has unveiled the new Creta at Auto Expo 2020. The updated SUV will be launched in India by the second week of March.

Hyundai has confirmed the launch of new generation Creta by the second week of March 2020. The manufacturer has unveiled its design and exteriors at the Expo. The bookings for outgoing Creta have already been put on hold.

The first change that you notice is that the new 2020 Hyundai Creta is now a boxy SUV. It gets a complete makeover with new alloy wheels, headlamps, DRLs and front and rear bumpers. The SUV now looks sharper than the outgoing one.

New features onboard will include a panoramic sunroof, LED projector headlamps, new touchscreen infotainment system, more advanced Blue Link technology, fully digital speedometer, wireless charging, cruise control and much more.

Under the hood, it is expected to get new BS6 compliant engines. Its existing engines will be replaced by new 1.5 Litre petrol and diesel engines from Seltos. The petrol and diesel engine both produce 110 PS of peak power. The transmission options might include a 5-speed MT/6-speed MT and an automatic gearbox.

Since Hyundai is bringing turbocharged petrol engines, we are expecting the new 2020 Hyundai Creta to even get the new 1.4 Litre turbo-charged petrol engine from Seltos. The engine produces 138 PS on the Seltos and should give similar power figures.

Meanwhile, at the Auto Expo 2020, Creta has gotten two new competitors. They are Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Vision SUV.
