The popular mid-size SUV has been due for a new generation model for a while now
The new-generation Kia Seltos was recently spotted testing on the roads of the U.S. The Seltos is one of the most popular mid-size SUVs in India. It was launched here in 2019, marking Kia’s debut in the country. This SUV has played a key role in helping Kia become the fastest carmaker to cross 1 million (10 lakh) sales in India. The company achieved this milestone in just 59 months of business. After getting a facelift recently, the second-generation version of the Seltos will launch in India in the coming months.
2026 New-Generation Kia Seltos Spied Testing
We are able to witness this image courtesy of kindelauto on Instagram. The image captures a heavily camouflaged mid-size SUV being tested on busy US roads. Firstly, the overall silhouette gives away the true identity. Additionally, the Star Map light at the front and sharp LED DRLs are partially visible. These features reflect Kia’s latest global design theme called ‘Opposites United’. Although most parts remain hidden, the updated front grille and bumper can be spotted. The new alloy wheels also add a touch of elegance. Also, the roof rails and upright demeanour lend it an imposing road presence.
While there are no details about the cabin, we know that the Korean auto giant equips its products with all the bells and whistles. That has been its major attraction in our market ever since its inception. In fact, even the existing model is among the most feature-laden SUVs in its class. Hence, we can expect the new-gen Kia Seltos to offer things like two 10.25-inch Panoramic Dual Displays for Infotainment and Driver’s Instrument Cluster, 19 autonomous ADAS Level 2 Features, Voice-controlled Dual-Pane Panoramic Sunroof, Ventilated Front Seats with 8-way Powered Adjustment, 8-Speaker Premium Bose Sound System, AI Voice Recognition System, 8-inch Head-Up Display and more.

The next-gen Kia Seltos is also expected to bring some changes to its powertrain options. The familiar engines will remain – a 1.5-litre petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel. In addition, a hybrid setup could be paired with the 1.5-litre petrol engine. This option will target buyers looking for better mileage. Along with this, manual and automatic gearboxes will still be available. We will know more details as the launch gets closer.
