Kia Carens crosses 200,000 sales in 36 months, selling over 7 units every hour. A top choice for families, it dominates with 95% 7-seater sales.
Kia India has achieved a major sales milestone with its popular family mover, the Kia Carens, surpassing 200,000 units sold in just 36 months. This translates to over seven units sold every hour, which goes on to show the popularity of this fast-selling MPV.
Kia Carens Enjoys Strong Demand for High-End Variants
Speaking on the achievement, Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, Sr. VP, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said, “The success of the Kia Carens is a testament to trust and innovation, driven by our deep understanding of the evolving needs of Indian families. With its advanced features, spacious interiors, and uncompromised safety, the Carens has redefined the family mover segment. Winning the trust of over 200,000 family and with consistent monthly sales, this milestone reflects Carens growing appeal. It motivates us to continue pushing the boundaries of excellence, delivering products that make every journey more comfortable, connected, and enjoyable”.
Since its launch, the Kia Carens has established itself as a preferred choice of many large Indian families. This is mainly thanks to its spacious cabin, many features, and adequately powerful-yet-efficient engine options. The MPV’s appeal is evident in the high demand for its top trims, which contribute significantly to overall sales. Notably, 95% of all Carens sold are the 7-seater variant. The petrol variants lead sales with a 58% share, while diesel models account for the remaining 42%. Automatic and iMT transmissions also enjoy decent demand, with nearly a third of customers choosing these options. Additionally, premium features like a sunroof have found favor, with 28% of buyers opting for this add-on.
