Revamped Interior

The upcoming facelifted model is expected to present an enhanced interior design. While the current model already features a luxurious interior setup, the new version aims to take the experience to a higher level. This may involve incorporating spacious touchscreen displays for both the infotainment system and the driver’s instrument cluster, a redesigned dashboard and centre console, premium upholstery, modern amenities, and a host of other improvements.

New Features

In terms of customer appeal, this aspect could be of utmost importance. In the modern world, cars have transformed into sophisticated gadgets. They provide a wide array of luxurious comforts, state-of-the-art technology, and convenience features to pamper passengers. The upcoming Harrier is likely to follow this trend too. Moreover, there are possibilities for the incorporation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to enhance the SUV’s active safety capabilities.

CURVV-inspired Exterior

At the Auto Expo, Tata Motors introduced the Harrier EV. It garnered considerable attention due to its captivating design. In an effort to give the upcoming Harrier facelift a rejuvenating appearance, the carmaker could take inspiration from certain elements of the Harrier EV. This may involve integrating sleek LED DRLs, making adjustments to the front grille, redesigning the bumper and headlamp housing, introducing new alloy wheels, and equipping modern LED taillamps, possibly connected by either a light bar or a chrome slab.

New Engine

There are several reports suggesting that the forthcoming facelifted version of the Harrier might include a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, capable of producing a respectable 170 PS and 280 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine will complement the existing 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine, which delivers 170 PS and 350 Nm of peak power and torque. The introduction of the new petrol engine is likely to result in a reduction in starting price for the Harrier range, thereby increasing its appeal to a wider spectrum of customers.

Price

The potential addition of a turbo petrol engine is likely to result in a slight decrease in the prices of the facelift model compared to the diesel variant. As a result, the updated version is expected to become more accessible to a wider range of potential buyers who might not have previously considered it. The escalating cost of diesel engines, driven by the need for advanced emission-compliant technology, further enhances the attractiveness of the petrol option in terms of affordability.
