BS6 Yamaha FZ 25

Yamaha has put out a teaser of the BS6 FZS 25 and FZ 25 which was supposed to be launched last month. Here are the 5 new things that will come on both.

Many automakers were supposed to launch their new products in March and April, which are now delayed. One such is Yamaha, which was going to launch the BS6 FZ 25 and FZS 25 in the last week of March. Now, the manufacturer has put out a teaser of the same.

The new motorcycles will get the same 250cc engine but with revised power and claimed mileage figures. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. For braking, it uses disc brakes at both the ends with dual-channel ABS as standard.

The teaser says that BS6 Yamaha FZ 25 and FZS 25 are coming soon. Along with that, we can also see the 5 things that are new on the BS6 models. A quick summary – cosmetic upgrades, new features and a BS6 compliant engine.

New Colour Options

BS6 FZ25 will get two new colour options including Metallic Black and Racing Blue. On the other hand, FZS 25 will be available in three colour options –  Dark Cyan, Dark Matte Blue and Metallic White. All these colours are tried and tested on different Yamaha bikes but still look very vibrant and appealing.

New Headlamp Unit

FZ 25 and FZS 25 will now get Bi-LED projector headlamp as standard. A lot of owners have complained about its poor headlight which will now be resolved. This replaces the existing halogen headlamps.

Negative LCD Instrument Cluster

Instead of its outdated digital cluster, BS6 Yamaha FZ 25 and FZS 25 will get a negative LCD cluster. It is the same that we see on the MT-15 with a blue blacklight and contrasting font colour. Probably, it might also display more information like riding range, etc.

The earlier 250cc air-cooled fuel-injected single-cylinder engine now produces 20.5 BHP and 21 Nm of peak torque. The power is up by 0.2 BHP and torque by 1 Nm. The engine is expected to be more refined and smoother.
