Hyundai MPV

Here is a digital imaginative rendering of the upcoming Hyundai MPV that is expected to be launched towards 2021.

Earlier reports suggest that Hyundai is going to launch a new budget MPV in India by 2021. It is currently under development and will actually be a global launch first, later heading out to our country. As expected, it will be Hyundai’s long pending answer to Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and possible, Mahindra Marazzo as well.

Here is a digital imaginative rendering of the upcoming Hyundai MPV. First impressions suggest that it gets its styling inspired by the global Hyundai models. The cascading grille is smaller though when compared to other models. The headlamp and DRL styling is similar to the Venue and so is the fog lamp styling.

Based on this rendering, the Hyundai MPV looks quite premium and when launched, it will continue to be so. Many design bits will be seen from the global-spec all-new Sonata as well as from the India-sped new generation Creta. The same premium quality cabin of all Hyundai cars will be the showcase of this MPV.

In terms of pricing, it is expected to be slotted very close to the new Creta. Under the hood, the Hyundai MPV could use the 1.5 Litre petrol and diesel engines from the new SUV. The power figures will be the same and so will the gearbox options be. Obviously, the turbo petrol engine would not come on this MPV.

Features onboard could include a big touchscreen infotainment system, Blue Link internet car technology, electric sunroof, wireless charger, AC vents for all three rows, cruise control, digital instrument cluster and much more. We are expecting it to come in the 6-seater as well as the 7-seater version, the former reserved for top-end variants.

Prior to that, Hyundai will be launching the new generation i20 and the Tucson facelift. The latter was displayed at the Auto Expo 2020 and its prices are only left to be disclosed right now. As for the i20, it will get a major upgrade with new engines, refreshed styling and many more segment first features.
