The festive season is about the start and Tata is not going to leave any stone unturned this time. For the past couple of months, the domestic sales performance of Tata isn’t as impressive as it was expecting, and so to regain the lost traction in the market Tata plans to launch new products. Recently we reported about the Manza Club Class and today Tata has officially launched the refreshed Tata Indica eV2 hatchback, that too with a price cut.
Yes you heard it right. The company has launched the new eV2 with new features and additional convenience features. As earlier the model is available in three variants: Indica eV2 LE (base variant), Indica eV2 LS and Indica eV2 LX (top-end variant).
Exterior as well as the interior of the car has received a major makeover and the features list includes the following:

- Triple-step chrome tipped grille
- Sporty rear spoiler
- Integrated stop lamp
- Sporty alloy wheels
- Front and rear fog lamps
- Auto-Drive Assist and Clutch-To-Start
- Large seats
- Wood finish console
- Power windows
- Keyless entry
- Bluetooth-enabled music system
- 4 spoke collapsible steering wheel
- Tachometer
Beside the exciting features the company is also offering two new colours with the new eV2: Spicy Red and Sea Blue. Apart from the new colours, existing ones such as Neo Orange, Jet Silver and Mint White are also available.
We mentioned that the price has been cut and the exact amount is Rs. 23,000. So with the revised pricing the base variant of the car is priced at Rs. 4,01,162 and the top end variant of the same costs 4,87,619, both ex-showroom New Delhi. Interested buyers may also opt for Tata Motors Finance’s low down payment scheme where a customer can take a eV2 home by paying a down payment of mere Rs.50,000. The Indica eV2 is powered by a 1396 CC common rail direct injection (CRDI) diesel engine that delivers a brilliant 25 KMPL of mileage. The same is also available with a MPFI petrol engine.
The most interesting fact about the car is the price cut which is surprising as manufacturers like Honda, Maruti Suzuki, Audi, General Motors etc., are raising the prices of their cars.
