Toyota Fortuner Crashes as Driver Makes Reels

Social media is becoming an obsession for a whole bunch of people who are just trying to create viral content without considering the consequences of their actions.

In the latest unfortunate incident, a Toyota Fortuner SUV crashed at 100 km/h as the driver is busy making reels for Instagram. The trend of people trying to create viral reels on social media results in unfortunate scenarios. We have reported tons of such cases. To gain followers and views, some people are willing to perform insanely idiotic activities on the road inviting trouble. This looks like one such case. Here are the details.

The video has been uploaded by Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel features content around the performances of popular cars during unfortunate incidents and road safety. This time, a case has emerged from somewhere in Kerala as per the information in the video. The driver of the Fortuner is holding the steering wheel with one hand and making a video with the other. The weather outside is rainy, and the single-lane road he is driving is completely soaked in water.

Shockingly, the speedometer of the SUV reads 100 km/h, which is illegal on many counts. Firstly, a single-lane road can’t have that speed limit. Secondly, during rains, one must drive below the speed limit to prevent phenomena like aquaplaning and skidding. That is exactly what ends up happening here. The SUV skids off the surface and topples over after hitting some things on the side of the road. Thankfully, no person was walking on the street. Otherwise, he/she would have sustained severe injuries.

Talking about the damage to the SUV, it has experienced a lot of dents and deformations in various body parts, including the side section, the tail section, and even the front fascia. The information regarding the injuries to the driver is not available. The SUV is seen being towed away for repair on the back of a truck. We advise our readers to never overspeed and drive extremely carefully during rain. It is high time we become responsible drivers and start following traffic rules vehemently so that such incidents could be avoided.
