Mahindra XUV700 and Scorpio N are two of the most popular and successful SUVs in the Indian market at the moment.

The latest waiting periods for the Mahindra XUV700 and Scorpio N have been officially revealed through an official image that was sent to us by a dealership contact. Scorpio N is the latest model from the Indian SUV maker that has been making a lot of headlines because of its unprecedented demand. In its current iteration, it has incorporated a lot of modern-day equipment and features to pamper its customers without compromising on the ruggedness that the original Scorpio was known for. On the other hand, the XUV700 is the flagship SUV from the Indian auto giant. It offers myriad segment-first features and powerful engines to woo customers. Mahindra XUV700

For the XUV700, the waiting time for the base MX trim ranges from 15 weeks for the manual petrol and diesel versions to 40 weeks for the automatic trims. The variant above it, the AX3 also has almost similar waiting times. This number goes up to around 20 weeks for the mid-AX5 trim for petrol and diesel manual and 40 weeks for the petrol automatic. Finally, the top AX7 and AX7L trims command waiting periods ranging from 30 weeks to 40 weeks irrespective of the powertrain and transmission. For the Z6 and Z8 trims, this time period stretches from 45 weeks to 55 weeks. These value-for-money mid-trims boast the highest waiting periods. For the top Z8 L (MT) and Z8 L (AT) variants, the waiting times range from 10 weeks to 50 weeks. Note that these figures are indicative and the deliveries might depend on the variant and city. What We Think

Mahindra has been working quite effectively and tirelessly towards reducing the waiting times on its popular models. We saw this problem arise last year with the Mahindra Thar and the XUV700 when the industry was reeling under the effects of semiconductor chip shortage. Now that that issue has been resolved, we see the waiting time is dipping quite significantly. Nevertheless, these times are quite high on some variants which might turn down a lot of people. Waiting times of 55 weeks means that one will have to wait for over a year to get their SUV.
