Digital artists keep developing rare and unique iterations of already established products and this is a prime example of that.

A digital automobile enthusiast decided to develop a Suzuki-badged Toyota Fortuner. He is calling it the ‘Unfotuner’. Fortuner is the most successful 7-seat off-roader in the country. While it has been popular ever since its inception, the departure of the mighty Ford Endeavour left the potential buyers with no other worthy rival than the Fortuner. As a result, Toyota introduced many iterations of the legendary Fortuner in the market. Since Toyota and Suzuki sell each other’s rebadged products in the market, this designer came up with Suzuki’s version of the Fortuner. Here are the details.

This illustration has been rendered by Bagrawala Designs on YouTube. It captures a unique visual where a Suzuki logo is visible at the front and rear of the vehicle. Initially, one could see a close-up angle. However, as the camera zooms out, the viewers are left shocked to see the silhouette and design of the mighty Toyota Fortuner. It is at that moment that it becomes clear that the automobile designer has decided to slap the badge of Suzuki on a Fortuner SUV. To be honest, this procedure looks very much in line with what we have seen in real life with products like Baleno–Glanza and Brezza–Urban Cruiser.

Specs

The Toyota Fortuner is equipped with two engine options – a 2.7-litre petrol engine and a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine. These engines generate peak power and torque of 164 hp and 245 Nm, and 201 hp and 420 Nm (500 Nm with automatic transmission), respectively. The transmission duties can be assigned to either a 6-speed manual or an automatic, and it distributes power to all four wheels in the diesel variants. To ensure smooth navigation across various terrains, the SUV incorporates a dedicated 4×4 system.  The prices range from Rs 32.99 lakh to Rs 50.74 lakh, ex-showroom.

What We Think

Well, there are no plans of Maruti Suzuki launching its own iteration of the Fortuner in the market. In fact, we are about to get a next generation model of the Toyota Fortuner itself. Therefore, it makes no sense to launch Suzuki’s version of the iconic SUV from the previous generation. Nevertheless, we are thrilled to witness something truly different which is what such digital artists bring to the table. Also, we appreciate a well detailed and thoughtful virtual concept of any vehicle.
