2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Review – Driving Impressions

We have the 1.5-litre turbo petrol variant with the 7-speed DCT gearbox. This turbo variant benefits from a stiff suspension which ensures great handling, especially around the corners at high speed. The DCT works well to lend spirited driving dynamics. We specifically enjoyed the ADAS functions on a well-marked highway. There are disc brakes on all four wheels and the braking performance is certainly impressive. The steering feedback is adequate and it gains decent weight at high speeds. Even the body roll is well contained due to the stiff suspension. The throttle responses are discernible in various drive and traction modes. All in all, if you are a driving enthusiast, this variant should be on your radar.

Exterior

We had the top-of-the-line Creta with the 1.5-litre turbo petrol mill. On the outside, there are tons of updates in comparison to the outgoing model. At the front, you’ll notice a sleek LED light bar merging into stylized LED Daytime Running Lights on both sides. The expansive grille, adorned with dark chrome, is accompanied by quad-LED headlamps on either side. The updated model features sturdy skid plates and a sporty bumper. On the sides, it flaunts adventurous side skirtings and a fresh set of alloy wheels. The side profile closely resembles the current model. Moving to the rear, a connected LED taillamp unit with a distinctive design and a robust skid plate stands out. Additionally, there’s a high-mount stop lamp, a shark fin antenna, and a roof-mounted spoiler with roof rails.

Author’s Note

The new Creta has arrived with a lot of expectations and promises. Looking at the features list, it seems like the Korean giant has left no stone unturned when it comes to offering the latest tech, safety, connectivity and convenience features. Also, the pricing is at par with its sibling, the Kia Seltos and other rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Still, these are introductory prices and will go up after some time. Hyundai has already sold 9.80 lakh units of the Creta since 2015. It will be interesting to now see how well the audiences receive it this time around.
