As mentioned previously, both these SUVs come with similar engines and transmissions. This encompasses a choice between a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. However, a notable addition to the options is the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, currently featured in the new Verna. The power and torque outputs for these engines stand at 115 PS / 144 Nm, 115 PS / 250 Nm, and 160 PS / 253 Nm, respectively. Buyers will enjoy the flexibility of selecting from a 6-speed manual, IVT (CVT automatic), or a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission, depending on the variant.

New Hyundai Creta Facelift

We must mention that the design change in the Hyundai Creta facelift is much more comprehensive in comparison to the outgoing model than in the case of the Kia Seltos facelift. Upfront, observers of the Creta witness a sleek LED light bar that converges into stylized LED DRLs on both sides. Notably, the front fascia showcases a substantial grille with distinctive elements and quad-LED headlamps flanking its sides. This new model also incorporates robust skid plates and a sporty bumper. On the sides, you’ll find adventurous skirtings and a fresh set of alloy wheels. Truth be told, the side profile bears a striking resemblance to the current model. Moving to the rear, a connected LED taillamp unit with a signature design is complemented by a sturdy skid plate. Additionally, there’s a high-mount stop lamp, a shark fin antenna, and a roof-mounted spoiler with roof rails. This facelift model looks ultra-modern and distinct.

2023 Kia Seltos Facelift

It was launched a few months ago. However, it bears minimal changes to the exterior in comparison to the pre-facelift model. It comes with a slightly tweaked front fascia including the Tiger Nose grille. The chrome belt now ends abruptly in the middle of the grille and the LED DRLs are integrated nicely inside the LED headlight cluster. There are vertical LED fog lamps on the extreme edges of the bumper and a sturdy skid plate to accentuate its sportiness. On the sides, there are sporty side body skirtings and alloy wheels with roof rails to offer an imposing road presence. At the rear, there is the connected LED taillamps with a light bar which runs across the width of the SUV. The roof-mounted spoiler looks modern and the rugged skid plate offers adventurous vibes too. All in all, even it bears modern and attractive aesthetics.

What We Think

We shall have to wait a bit for the pricing of the new Creta. But we know that it will hover somewhere around the Seltos. Hence, there won’t be much to choose between the two in terms of pricing and powertrains. The only distinguishing factor will be the styling and cabin layout. That is a matter of subjectivity. Hence, we suggest you should walk into the dealership stores nearby and experience these SUVs in real life. You can’t go wrong with either of these.
