British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph is not really known for creating high voltage pre-launch drama or leaks and speculations. However, this time the company has decided to break free from the trend. It has released the official sketch of its new Triumph 250cc sports bike at the ongoing EICMA show in Milan, Italy. The best news is that Triumph has announced that it will be manufactured at Triumph’s Indian plant at Naraspura plant in Karnataka.

Indeed, the bike looks much above everybody’s expectations. The well crafted, fully faired model will remind you of Daytona, though in a miniature version.ย Not much was discussed by the company about its specifications etc. However, it has been confirmed that it will be a single cylinder engine bike and will be manufactured in India. Looks wise, you see a sporty, streamlined, fully faired bike which gives the strong impression of masculinity and aggression.

In terms of features, the compact motorbike boasts of rear disc brake, exposed drive chain, box-section swing arm and a wide single-piece seat. You can easy feel nostalgic about Daytona 675 when you check out the styling of the fairing and the curves of fuel tank. Local production will help the company to keep costs under check and hence you will see a highly competitive price tag. This will help the company lock horns with competitors like ย the Kawasaki Ninja 300, the Honda CBR 250 R (or the Honda CBR 300 R)and the Hyosung GT250R.

Triumph’s India operations begin on the 28th of November and the bike will hit the launch pad sometime around late 2014 or early 2015.ย The quarter litre bike segment in the country is heating up pretty fast and no company wants to miss out on that. The Indians are in for a real treat.
