We reported in December that Suzuki was in the process of launching the Suzuki Inazuma GW250 in India, now we have news of its cost in India. Indian Autos Blog has spotted the display units of the Inazuma at a dealership and also managed to get the price of the bike in India.
Price
The Suzuki Inazuma GW250 will be priced at about Rs. 3 Lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi when launched on 27th January 2014.
Only one variant of the bike will be on sale. It will go up against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 300, Hyosung GT250R and the Honda CBR250R in terms of price and is low in terms of power. Will it be able to stand up to the faired-bikes? The irony of this categopry is the fact that the the cheaper KTM 390 Duke is more powerful than all the bikes here. Looks like the Suzuki Inazuma GW250 has a tough road ahead.

The 250+cc motorcycle segment in India is hotting up, and Suzuki wants a piece of the pie of this market. Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited, Suzuki Motorcycles’ Indian subsidiary has confirmed that it will launch the Suzuki Inazuma GW250 (also known as the Suzuki Inazuma 250) in India in January 2014. It will go up against the likes of the Honda CBR250R, KTM 200 Duke, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and upcoming bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar 200SS and the Mahindra Mojo. Suzuki is expected to assemble the bike in India via the CKD route to keep prices competitive enough.
Speaking to Autocar Professional, Atul Gupta, executive vice-president, SMIL, confirmed that they “are going to launch the 250cc motorcycle next month (January 2014) and new products to expand our current portfolio in the upcoming Auto Expo 2014. We are equally focusing on the scooters and the motorcycles.”
