In a shocking incident, a Skoda Fabia was towed away while elderly people were sitting inside. It’s true we witness all sorts of bizarre incidents on our roads on a daily basis. In fact, that is the reason why people consider our roads to be some of the most perilous in the world. However, there are also incidents which are beyond our perception. This latest one qualifies as one such case. Let us take a look at the details of what transpired in this event in Noida Sector 50.

Skoda Fabia Towed Away with Elderly People Inside

As per various news reports, one of the senior citizens informed the media that, “I had gone to the hospital with my sister-in-law. At the hospital, we were asked to pay in cash and get some documents photocopied. When we reached Sector 50, we parked at this spot in a hurry. It was a no-parking zone but the signage was hidden by the branches of a tree. So we couldn’t spot it. We came within five minutes with the cash and the photocopies. But by then the car was already attached to the towing vehicle. We sat in the car and pleaded with them. I told them we were going to the hospital with my sister-in-law who suffers from a cardiac ailment. We are all senior citizens – 70 years old. Soon people gathered and tried to stop them from towing the car away. But they kept saying we will have to collect it from the police station.”

The contractors took things too far. Note that one can’t tow away a vehicle if there are people sitting inside it even from a no-parking zone. But we don’t understand why the contractor took the decision to tow the vehicle with senior citizens inside. Resultantly, an FIR was registered against the contractor and 2 employees of M/s MG Infra Solution by the Noida Development Authority (NDA). This FIR also mentions that the staff was asking for unreasonable money from the car owner and misbehaved with them.
