2015 Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 the successor to the best selling Lamborghini ever, the Gallardo, has been launched in India. It was earlier being showcased for the time to prospective customers throughout the nation through private shows.

It has a hybrid chassis made from carbonย fiber and aluminum which helps it keep the weight down to merely 1,442 Kg. A naturally aspirated 5.2 litre V10 engine which has its maximum power output rated at 610 BHP @ 8,250 RPM and has a maximum torque of 560 NM @ 6,500 RPM available at the tap of your gas pedal. It is a four-wheel drive unit and gets a fast-shifting 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.ย It reaches 100 KMPH from standstill in merely 3.2 seconds and gets a top speed of more than 325 KMPH.

Price

The Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 has been priced at Rs 3.43 crores (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Lamborghini claims to write the next chapter in history of Lamborghini with the Huracan. Styling-wise, the Huracan looks like a toned-down Aventador; The twin-lamp headlights are encompassed by ‘Y’-shaped LED daytime-running lamps which have become a Lamborghini signature design element now. The front bumper is very aggressive, the twin-air intakes are highlighted weel. Though the overall edgy design of the car, first introduced to the Lamborghini lineup by the Reventon in 2008, is visible it seems to have been toned down to make the car appealing to more people. It is more aggressive than the Gallardo, no doubt, but it is evident from the design itself that the car is more accessible than before.

Move to the profile view and the standard low-nose, forward-cabin and long-rear design characteristic of a mid-engined Lamborghini is evident. Details here are again very subtle, you get air-intakes behind the window and in front of the rear-tyres. Apart from that, a gentle line that flows from the front fenders and mergers with the rear fenders is the only design flourish that you can see.

Move to the rear and the minimal light design theme continue. The tail-lamps are dominated by y-shaped thin strip of LEDs, there another strip of LEDs placed above the logo which act as brake lamps. The rear bulk is broken by a meshed grille that almost runs all along the width of the car. The 4-pipe exhaust is very noticeable.

The standard engine cover consists of three large slats, which are a homage to the Lamborghini Miura. Owners can also order a transparent cover to show off the beautiful V10 engine inside.

As you get inside the car, you notice the detailing in the finer print too. It gets a cockpit with fully integrated controls and virtual 12.3โ€ TFTย instrument cluster.ย The virtual instrument cluster presents all critical information inย razor-sharp 3D graphics with sophisticated visual effects. It comes shod with complete LED lighting and gets an elegant interior design and a host ofย individualization options. The sports car has been aimed to provide the practicality of a everyday car in an ultimate sports car. It is here in India ahead of many nations globally which simply shows how important this market is for the iconic Italian marquee.
